STYLE FILE: EMILY RATAJKOWSKI

She caused a massive style wave when she got married in a $300 Zara suit (which quickly became the must-have pieces of the season!) and looks just as good in relaxed beachwear as she does on the red carpet. Emily Ratajkowski might have become infamous for wearing not much at all in the Blurred Lines video, but she has firmly earned her spot as a fashion style star! Today, I want to break down her style and show you pieces that will help you steal her style!

70’S STYLE:

A lot of pieces in Emily’s wardrobe wouldn’t be out of place in Studio-54-era Bianca Jagger’s closet, with the silhouettes she chooses very reminiscent of the era, as well as sticking to a warmer colour palette.

To get her look for less, look no further than the current suiting selection at Zara to steal her style or at a slightly higher end price point, one of her favourite labels, Realisation Par has a tonne of Em Rata-approved pieces!

SILKY AND CHIC:

For her evening looks, Emily generally sticks to a sleek, chic silhouette, rather than full skirted gowns. I mean, with her figure, why would you cover it up?! Aside from knowing what works for her, this is also an easy trend to replicate, with many high street labels offering similar styles.

To get the look for less, Bec + Bridge always have amazing slip dress options, like this gorgeous piece, or for more classic silhouettes that can be dressed up or down, Silk Laundry always has a great selection. If you have a little more money to burn, Michael Lo Sordo is your go-to (especially this piece!).

BEACH BUNNY:

I couldn’t put together a style file on Emily without talking about swimwear, after all, she basically is the poster girl for bikinis!

Following her instinct for 70s inspired pieces in her wardrobe, this follows through to the style of swimwear she opts for – mixed print separates, high cut bottoms, and chic one pieces. She is such a beachwear fan, she’s started her own swimwear label, Inamorata Swim, where you can get the exact bikinis you’ve seen her in all over Instagram.

If you don’t want to spend a bomb on shipping, Australian labels Lahana Swim and Zulu and Zephur offer very similar styles, so you can get Emily’s style for your overseas break from the cold weather that’s creeping in now!

What’s your favourite look from Emily? Or do you have any other suggestions to steal her style? Let me know in the comments!
