The New Labels You Need To Know This Summer
We all love looking to high end labels for outfit inspo (and a splurge now and again!) but I always like to look to the high street for more affordable, but equally stylish pieces to work into my wardrobe. This summer, I’ve been really inspired by independent Australian labels, so today I want to talk you through some of my favourites – who knows, they might just be your next favourite labels, too!
I’m such a fan of a good wrap dress for looking chic, but keeping cool in warmer weather and after seeing this style from Lilya pop up on my Instagram a few times, I wanted to see more from this label! The vibes are very coastal, and the light fabrications make them perfect for summer – just add a glass of chilled rose!
Linen is one of the very best fabrics to keep cool in the extreme Australian summer, but I find that it’s difficult to find 100% linen pieces that look as good as they feel. Enter, Morton Mac. The curated collection on entirely linen pieces – ranging from coordinates, dresses, and shirts – that are easily dressed up or down. I love the Lova Dress, but there’s styles to suit any shape. And the best part? They offer AfterPay!
What’s a summer round up without talking about swimwear? After insta-stalking for a while, I found Saint Helena’s swimwear collection and loved the 90’s vibes! The styles are cut to be very flattering for a wide range of body types, and for more sporty girls, they also offer wetsuits in the same aesthetic! Outside of swimwear, they also have a very cute range of apparel that’s effortlessly chic.
Lastly, I’ve really been loving Rowie the Label. The Byron Bay-based label really understands what pieces will work in the Australian heat (read, floaty, feminine pieces in crisp whites), but adds a little fashion twist to them. I really love their separates as well – easy to mix and match with your swimsuit for a day at the beach!
