Celebrity Trends to Inspire Your Wedding!

Today my Instagram feed was flooded with the gorgeous image of Miranda Kerr and her stunning custom Dior wedding gown, and it inspired me to collate a list of celebrity wedding trends I love. From the classic (like Miranda’s) through to the unconventional (like Poppy Delevingne), these trends are the perfect inspiration if you are looking for a little something extra for your own wedding.

GOWNS FIT FOR A PRINCESS

Miranda Kerr joined the ranks of Kate Middleton and Nicky Hilton and opted for a long sleeved princess gown. A classic style reminiscent of Grace Kelly’s iconic bridal look, this is a great style if you opt for classic silhouettes in your daily wear.

To get the look, I love Stella McCartney’s Layla gown, Rachel Gilbert’s Paola gown for a sleeker take on the trend and the Amelie gown by Lisa Gowing for a classic lace variation.  As the dress is quite the statement, you don’t need to add too many accessories – but a gorgeous long-trained veil is a definite must!

BOHO BRIDE

One bridal look that I still love was Poppy Delevingne’s Moroccan-inspired Emilio Pucci look from her 2014 wedding. The boho chic gown remains one of the more memorable celebrity gowns, and is perfect inspo if you’re after something a little left of centre for your wedding.

To steal her style, I love the Elvida gown by Rachel Gilbert, the Embellished Maxi Dress from Missguided (this one is perfect for the bride on a budget!), and the Joni dress from Fame and Partners for a more subtle take on the trend.

THE FASHIONISTA BRIDE

Some of my favourite wedding trends inspired by celebrities are those a little less traditional. One of my all time favourite bridal looks was Olivia Palermo’s stunning separate looks, complete with blue Manolo’s! The trend isn’t just great for adding a little more personality into your wedding day, but is also great for brides wanting to look amazing without spending an obscene amount of money on a dress.

Toni Maticevski’s Stranger skirt, or Needle and Thread’s Tulle Maxi paired with Theory’s Verlina sweater are the perfect ingredients to adapt this look for yourself, just add a statement shoe!
